history

History:
It was the day of Christmas Eve when Shirokawa Hikari was born. Hikari laid there gracefully in Yamadu's lifeless arm, who died after giving birth to Hikaru. After Yamadu's death, Hisagi stopped working and started drinking and gambling. Later, he came to lose all his money and wasn't able to provide enough support for Hikari so he had to sent her to an orphanage for her own good. She gained many new friends and had the change to educate herself. There, Hikari grew up to be a good-nature, elegant and gorgeous lady. Since she was young, she had great interest in constructing toys especially weapons. At the age of 12, Hikari believed that her father was still alive and decided to search for him everywhere. She left the orphan and promised her friends that she would come back safe and healthy. During her journey, she went through deserts, dense forests, mountains, fought ogres and faced many obstacles but she managed to overcome these circumstances. After spending days and months searching for her father, she finally came to a stop where a certain town was located. As she entered the town, she sensed a feeling that her father was somewhere around this town. Feeling elated, she grabbed a photo of her father out of her bag and asked around the people whether any of them knew him. Fortunately, she came to ask an old man who looked like he was in his early nineties. He claimed that he had seen the guy in the photo and that he was once a powerful mage at Oracion Seis. What's a mage like? And what does he meant by the word "he was once"?, Hikari wondered. Hikari did as the old man told which was to go to the guild for more information. As soon as she found the guild, she barged into the door and rushed towards the counter. Everyone was glaring at her. Although she knew that she was being rude, she had so many questions to ask to her father that she had no choice but to ignore those icy stares. "Er ... Excuse me. Can I talk to Shirokawa Hisagi, please?" Hikari asked bluntly, feeling embarassed. The lady at the counter stared at Hikari from head to toe with wide eyes. "Are you Hisagi's daughter?" she replied, after minutes of silence.
"Yes."
"I'm sorry, he's not here anymore," she muttered, averting her eyes away. "He died on his mission which was to defeat a dragon, a real dragon," she croaked at the sound of dragon. The word dragon echoed in her mind as Hikari's eyes widened. Dragons??? Dragons exist outside from this world? So many questions popped into her head as she slumped her body down with tears rolling down from her eyes. Now she had lost everything. She had no friends to help and encourage her, and no parents to guide her to the right way. The lady came out from behind the counter, holding a small piece of paper which was neatly folded. The lady bent down to face Hikari and using her thumb, she wiped the tears from her rosy cheeks. As she handed out the paper, she felt some sympathy for Hikari."Here, your father left a message for you." Hikari stared at the paper before taking it from her. She read:

Dear Hikari,
I have been finding you since I became a mage at this incredible guild. I regret very much for leaving you at an orphanage and I know I shouldn't. Your mother's death affected me deeply and yet it also encouraged me to start a new life. I wanted to protect you and never ever wanted to hurt you or to be lonely. So, I want to request you to join the guild I am a member of. Under the protection of the master of the guild and your new friends, I'm very sure you'll be far more than safe and you'll be able to make the right decision. I want you to become the strongest, invincible and most well-respected mage in town and to make your guild the strongest in Fiore, which is my last wish. I just want you to know that during all these years that have passed, I have never forgotten you and my love for my daughter will ever remain the same.

With Love,
Dad

Hikari clutched the message close to her heart, tears streaming down her cheeks. The lady hugged her warmly as Hikari sobbed quietly in the lady's chest. Hikari wiped her tears away and she was determined to start a new life and do what her father instructed her.

RP Sample:
Wow! What a fresh start for a day! Even though it’s summer, it’s still kind of pretty cold. Hikari stared up into the azure sky which was filled up with creamy, fluffy clouds. She was, well, reclining lazily on a bench, doing nothing but just gazing up into the sky and daydreaming. Argh! Shit! I have to do a mission! I shouldn’t have wasted my time here daydreaming, Hikari thought, regaining her senses. She started to run like hell and stopped herself in front of the Mercenary Request Board. Scanning through all the missions, a certain one caught her attention. “Get me a book? Well, that sounds interesting,” Hikari mumbled to herself and grabbed the paper from the board, reading the information. It says that a girl named Hayley McRoland wants to buy books but her father wouldn’t let her because he thought it might spoil her. Huh?! What the hell?! Spoiled her?! What on earth would spoil her? Reading books gives us knowledge! Oh man, that old geezer is crazy, Hikari thought. She continued reading and found out that the location was the McRoland mansion. “MCROLAND?! They are one of the richest people in Fiore! Oh my god! I would love to go to that place,” Hikari smirked and proceeded her journey to the mansion. As soon as she arrived, her eyes bulged out of their sockets and her jaw dropped open. The mansion was extremely big, no, no, it’s huge and enormous with all those guards surrounding it. Pushing the main gate slightly, she noticed that it was unlocked. Okay, now, she stared at the guards and was on a defensive mode, ready to beat everyone of them but rather than approaching her, they didn’t even move a single millimetre. So she continued her way towards the door and knocked it softly. A few seconds later, a girl with a blonde hair and a blue ribbon on her head opened the door and stuck her small head out. The girl examined Hikari from head to toe and brightened up immediately. “Good morning! You must be the mage who is destined to help me. My name’s Hayley McRoland,” said the girl and took her hand out for Hikari to shake.

“Err … I’m Hikari Shirokawa. Nice to meet you,” Hikari introduced and shook her hand gently.

“Hikari, I have to tell you something so come on in,” Hayley wouldn’t even allow Hikari to answer and puller her hard straight into the hallway. “I’m sure you’ve read my request, right? So, I’ll just tell you the genre I love, which is romance. You can buy any book as long as it contains romance. Now, here’s the money to buy the book and … thank you Hikari.”

Hikari stared at her with a quizzical look and smiled at her finally. I can totally understand now why you didn’t want her to read anymore books, old geezer, Hikari thought, sighing in despair. She took the money from her hands and went out of the mansion without saying a word. As she left the mansion, she started searching for a bookstore nearby. She walked a few metres and noticed a small bookstore in the corner of the streets. She entered the store, pushing the door open, which made a ‘ding’ sound. There, Hikari stood as a statue, staring with widening eyes at the sight of the number of book shelves. There is no way this tiny bookstore has these many books. She went out of the store and came back in. The store was the same as it was. Hikari sighed depressingly and looked around to ask someone to help her, but she couldn’t find anyone. For two or three whole hours, Hikari was running around finding a romance novel in this bookstore which has thousands of books on these hundreds of shelves and they are not even sorted out in genres. She was on the verge to blow the bookstore up but immediately brightened up when she saw a book with a pink cover. She pulled the book out of the shelf and removed the dust by swiping with her cool and competent hand. She read the summary at the back of the book and smiled. Taking the book to the counter, she paid for the book which costs 10,000 jewels and went back to the mansion panting very hard since she had run all the way from the bookstore. Entering the mansion, she handed the book to Hayley, gasping for air. “Come here and sit down. Take deep breaths and calm yourself down. Why don't you drink this up to make you feel better?” Hayley placed a cup of tea in front of her face. Hikari took a sip and then gulped all the way down her throat. The tea surely made Hikari better. It was cool, refreshing and sweet which lingered on her tongue.“Thank you Hayley. It really tastes great. Oh and here’s the change,” Hikari place the changed in her hands. Up close, Hikari could see that she was indeed very young and pretty and her face was kind of similar to Alice in Wonderland. Her body structure was perfect, with great curves. She wondered why Hayley wouldn’t try modeling or acting rather than staying at home and reading books. Hikari knew she would be a hit if she tried doing things like that. “Say, why do you like reading so much?” Hikari stared at her with curiosity, waiting for her response.

“I don’t know even know myself really. Maybe it’s because they got me so mesmerized. But I love books, anyway, so much that I can’t express it.” Hayley let out a smile and smiled.

“Um, well, I’m extremely sorry but I’ll have to go back for now. I still have to go a place. Thank you very much for the delicious tea, Hayley, and it was nice meeting you.”

Hikari stood up and walked towards the door until she was pulled by the hand by Hayley. “Ah! Wait! I’m so sorry to stop you suddenly, but, you forgot your jewels,” said Hayley, handing her the jewels.

“Thank you, again.”
Smiling at her like an idiot, they waved goodbye to each other as Hikari left the mansion.
